Hello. Incoming newbie here asking for help on a graphics card upgrade. What I'm looking for in particular is a good card that will improve game quality and FPS, particularly for Team Fortress 2. I've never actually done this before; I have no idea as to what specs are taken into consideration for a graphics card boost. Here are some computer specs. Not sure if they're the ones needed:

Here is the tower that I have:

If any more info is needed, I will be more than happy to supply it. I've got around $120 to spend currently. I hope it's enough to get a decent card. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

IMO save ur money and build an entire rig. The game performance not only depends of the GPU u also need a good CPU and RAM and with the spec that u have I think that u can't get a high FPS because the CPU could bottleneck the GPU.

Hmm, are there any other options, like getting a better power supply for adding a cheap card? Any kind of upgrade--whether it be major or minor--would nice because there's no way I can afford the parts for a new rig, sadly. Thank you for your input.

What PSU do u have? I think that u can add a new GPU for now.

I'm not sure as to what kind of PSU it has, but I have the wattage if that's what you're looking for. It says the maximum watt output is 250 watts, but it cannot exceed 245 watts. I'm guessing that the power supply needs to be upgraded too?

Yeah, the PSU that comes with the pre build rigs usually isn't good and don't have all the power that say.

A good 450W and a 5770 could be a good upgrade for u until u can upgrade the CPU and RAM.
