So I've litterally spent the last two days reading through every review on the site and a good amount of the posts here in the forums. My issue is that like many others, I can't seem to settle on a motherboard choice. I have been leaning towards the ASUS P6T, just because it seems like a safe choice. People seem pretty happy with it, but I don't really care if it supports SLI or not.

Here is the background on what I am trying to accomplish:

I am trying to build a pretty simple i7 system. I don't do a lot of gaming, but I also don't want to sacrifice the non video related performance of the overall system by getting a lower end motherboard.

This isn't the first time I've built a system from scratch, it has just been a long time since I had to actually purchase a motherboard. Usually a friend will ditch/upgrade there high end system and I will grab the old motherboard. Just as a point of reference the last time I bought one was an ASUS CUSL2. Ok no laughing.
