My motherboard is reporting the wrong temps. When I turn on my PC they are in the mid 30's, when I start up Prime95 the temps start going down until they reach zero. I've used Hwmonitor, coretemp, and AMD overdrive and they're all the same. I had a 7750 and just upgraded to a x4 940, temps were working yesterday and today nothing. The motherboard is a Biostar 790GX3 A2+. I've googled several search terms but couldn't come up with anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

already try clearing your cmos? do you need to update your bios for your new cpu?

I cleared the cmos once(when I first installed), I'll try it again. As far as the bios its the latest one and according to the Biostar site includes support for the 940

Well I saved my bios settings and then cleared the cmos and then temps started reading normal. However, when I reloaded my bios settings it quit working again. Must be a bug in the bios causing it to happen. I guess I'll have restore the default settings and go through it again and hopefully bypass or figure out where the bug is.

Haha, this thread kinda turned one sided. Well after many reboots I narrowed it down to the ACC. When I turned it off my temps started reading normal. So anyone with a phenomII and a biostar tforce 790GX3 A2+ don't turn on ACC.
