4870 SHOWIN 99% ACTIVITY IN CCC ON IDLE HELP

i guys, just upgraded my graphics card. When looking in ATI OVERDRIVE the GPU activity or gpu load is constantly at 99% even though I am not running any programs or apps.... my temp is low around 40 degrees. Even on GPU-Z it shows load at 99%

Specs:

INTEL PENTIUM D 3.2 GHZ CPU
SAPPHIRE 4870
500W PSU
4GB DDR2
250GB HD


I installed the latest driver and folding home . I heard that folding home thing can cause a problem

any suggestions?

i think it's folding @ home because he use all processor unit available try just disabling it to see.

I have had the same problem. My ATI Radeon 5870 began the 99% activity at idle . I deleted the 11.3 driver version and went back to 11.2 driver with no problems... so far... Many of my friends have had the same problem recently and went back to the 10.2 version with no problem at all. It seems to be an update software problem with ATI. The newer version of CCC have automatic updates and that seems to be when the problems started, IMO.
