I recently put together my new PC and I noticed my 1066 ram was only running at a 800hz. I checked on Corair's website and they note that it ships in 800 setting. However when I go into the BIOS and change the frequency to 1066 timings to 5-5-5-15 and voltage to 2.1V as specified by Corsair my system won't boot.

These are the MB/CPU/RAM I am using

ASUS M4A78-E ATI 790GX DDR2 HDMI ATX PCI
AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition 2.8GH
Corsair TWIN2X4096-8500C5 2x2GB DDR2-1066

The Cpu is multiplier overclocked to 3.4 GHz with voltage raised to 1.4 V

In the BIOS i changed the 4 timings and voltages and left all the other settings on auto

A bit more research show alot of people are having problems getting this ram to run at 1066 with a phenom II, offically Corsair are blaming the memory controller.
