Heres is my build. I'm Planning to buy in 2-3 weeks. Heres what I'm planning on getting at this moment. I already have an Antec 300 w/ 3 extra 120mm fans. This is my first build.

ASUS P5q Pro
Sapphire 4850 512mb
G SKILL DDR2 800 2X2 @5-5-5-15 Not the Best ram but it is on the QVL, has almost universal motherboard comparability, and I'm a TOTAL G SKILL Fan Boy.
Q9400
Corsair 650 Watt PSU
LITE-ON DVD Burner SATA
500GB Segate Barracuda
Windows Vista Home Premium
Encore N wireless card

Is there any more software I need?

Depends on what purpose it's serving. Gaming? Video Editing/Encoding?

One suggestion that works universally is to upgrade your HDD to -

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136319

It is faster than the 500GB models and provides more storage space for your dollar.

If the PC is for gaming you're going to need a better graphics card if you want to be playing all of today's games at max settings (resolution dependent)

Also, make sure you get the 64-bit version of Vista if you are going to be using more than 3 gigs of RAM.

I also hear that the Q6600 is a better buy because it can OC to levels equal to or higher than the 9400.

1. I don't want to mess around with OC and I want the 45 nm technology
2. I disagree that a 4850 can't play games at a good level, plus I don't do much gaming.
3. I'm getting Vista 64
4. I don't need more storage space, I'm on a 60 gb HDD and I'm barely feeling limited.

OK, good deal. Just was wondering if you were trying to build a gaming rig or not. Like I said though, the 640gb isn't just about more space...the actual drive processes information faster than the 500 gb versions and it's only $15 more than what you had planned on buying.
