I have an i7 920 with a gtx295. Tom's hardware benchmarks say this card alone will run all the "high-end" gamming software at 2560x1600 res; except crysis. However, the monitor used was not listed? PLEASE can someone help me with a reliable gaming monitor that can perform at this res. Thanks!

believe me you don't want a 30 inch monitor. I personally have a 24 inch and a 30 inch apple. The 24 is far better due to the color contrast and 30 inch monitors run with 4870x2 works better.

if you want a bigger sized screen while gaming, i suggest getting a nice sized 1080p HDTV as a 2nd monitor for gaming. since the resolution is only 1920x1080, your games will run better, but still look great.

For price of a good 30in monitor approx $1000 and up, you can get a nice 37in HDTV for gaming, and a 24in monitor for standard desktop usage.

BUT if you're hell bent on getting a 30" monitor, i'd recommend the samsung

this is more preferable than a Dell Ultrasharp 30in, which is an 11ms LCD, and not that great for gaming.
