Your question

Caviar Green as primary, Caviar Black as secnodary (gaming)?

Will I experience any issues with a build like this? I have some 1-second freezing issues because of my Caviar Green, and so I ordered a Caviar Black.
But what I want to know, is if the Caviar Green being my primary drive, will completely undo anything I would gain by the Caviar Black?

If I put all of my games on a Caviar Black, but windows on the Caviar Green, will I still get the same performance increase that I would if the positions were switched?

I think no.

The system drive should be the faster.

What I did on my media PC is combine a 640 GB WD Black with a pair of 1 TB WD Greens for bulk storage.
