I am planning on building a Windows Home Server but am having a very hard time locating a list of compatible motherboards with WHS Drivers. I have read that using XP drivers is a Craps Shoot so I really want to find a motherboard that has WHS Drivers. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would love to find a compatible Motherboard with:
4-6: X Sata 3.0Gb
1 X eSata
1 X DVI
1 X IDE
And supports Pentium D and Dual Core Chipset. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
WHS is essentially derived from Windows Server 2003 (R2), they share the same kernel, so any drivers that works with Server 2003 will also work with WHS.
Just like how Vista SP1 and Server 2008 are the same with Server having extra modules.

When I was still using Windows Server 2003 back then, occasionally I would try XP drivers as last resort if there were no Server 2003 driver for the particular hardware.
The kernel difference between Server 2003 and XP is small, but still some difference.
It would be a bit like using 2K drivers on XP back in early days.
FYI, Server 2003 x64 and XP x64 shares the same kernel as well.
