I just got my new build this Friday:

i7 920 stock speed
6GB DDR3 1866Mhz
2 Velociraptor 150GB
XFX GTX285
and P6T Deluxe V2

Now I am having some issues with the MB first of all the BIOS or the OS wont recognize all 6GB off RAM it would only recognize 4GB and CPUZ also says 4GB now I notice that slot C1 is not working if I take all modules out and put on in C1 the system would noot boot if I change it to another Slot the system would boot does that mean that C1 is faulty?

Also if the board is I want to get another board that does not have so many problems witch one should I get?

From what I heard P6T Is a terrible board I wish I would have researched the board before I bought it.

How do you figure? I've researched every single x58 mobo sub 300$ out there. The p6t series (all 4(?) of them) have great reviews and performance. The MSI runs well, but runs hotter, the EVGA board was my next choice, blah blah blah.

Where are you reading articles regarding the boards? Craigslist? Of course if you read only the bad, you'll get a skewed perspective.

Anyway, to the OP - I suggest you RMA and get a new board - not all boards are going to be perfect off the line, sounds like you won the lottery.

I got the P6T V2, first one was bad and I RMA'd it. The second one works great.

Read the Asus board FAQs. The top question is how to solve this exact question.
