Hi everybody,

I am trying now for days to find the right settings for my System. I am getting one bluescreen after another (on idle too)
Even on Bios defaults or Optimized Settings my System is crashing. I have read a couple overclocking guides, but I guess I don´t understand them completley. I never used to overclock my Systems so thats all new to me. If somebody has almost the same System like I do. I would like just to compare the Bios Settings to find out why I m gettin bluescreens.

My System :

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 (Yorkfield)
OCZ ReaperX HPC DDR3-1333 2 GB Kit (OCZ3RPX1333EB2GK)
Gigabyte GA-48T-DQ6 (Bios Version F6D)
EVGA Geforce 9800 GTX 512MB
Seagate 500GB (ST3500320AS)
Samsung 20x SH-S203S
Antec Nine Hundred Ultimate Gamer Case
OCZ 720 Watt EvoStream SLI (OCZ720EVOSLI)

Most likely cause for your issues is unstable RAM. Try going into BIOS and setting the DIMM voltage to 1.85V, and changing nothing else.

Hi,

I checked the DIMM Voltage with Everest Ultimate V5.0

it is already at 1.89V

or is there a better software to check the DIMM Voltage?

Don't READ it with SOFTWARE, SET it in BIOS.

check the Bios. All I could find is DDR3 Over Voltage. I set it to +0.40
How come that the DIMM Voltage is not displayed in the Bios.

There is one strange thing I found out.

Everest and CPU-Z recognize my Memory as OCZ3RPX1333EB1G
I found the specs for that one:

Part number OCZ3RPX1333EB1G
Max bandwidth PC3-8500E (533 MHz)

Attributes
Number of banks 8
Nominal Voltage 1.50 Volts
EPP no
XMP no

Timings table
Frequency (MHz) 533 622 711

but on the Memory itself ( on the sticker) it says OCZ3RPX1333EB2G

How do I check now the DIMM Voltage if it is not displayed in the Bios???

This is a pesky issue with Gigabyte boards, the only way you can really know the DIMM voltage is to check it with a voltmeter. But +0.40V should be fine, that should be 1.90V which is close enough to the rated 1.85V.

The RAM is DDR3-1066 with an overclock rating of DDR3-1333. That's why it requires more voltage.

After I changed the DIMM Voltage to +0.40 its still freezing and giving me blue screens.

I run Orthos and got this:

Using CPU #1
Beginning a continuous self-test to check your computer.
Press Stop to end this test.
Test 1, 4000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M19922945 using 1024K FFT length.
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
Torture Test ran 0 minutes 50 seconds - 1 errors, 0 warnings.
Execution halted.

Any other idea??

Try downloading the bootable CD version of Memtest86, you might have a bad module.

Run Memtest and the second RAM was bad.
