Hi there,

My friend has two brand new spare cpu's, said I can take one but dont know which one? Can anybody help me pls i know nothing :(  - there will be no overclocking or anyting like that done to it.

Intel Core Duo E6750 @ 2.66ghz


Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 @ 2.50ghz

which is better

As I said in the other post a C2D E6750 is way faster than a Pentium Dual Core CPU. Unless you want to overclock that C2D far better than that Pentium.

Well like Axeon said the Core2 is faster than the Dual core...

Then that E6750 would still be better, if your getting it for "free" well then I'd take it lol. That E5200 is slow at stock only fast when overclocked.

Yes the E5200 is best when overclocked...else at stock, it will perform slower than the E6750...
For the CS:S, take the CPU which ever is cheaper...

If you are not at all gonna overclock, then the E6750.
Else if you are willing to overclock, then the E5200...

Just take the E6750. Keep it simple, even better since it's free. Just make sure your board can use it.
