I am in the process of assembling a new computer for a friend. He has a budget of about $1000 for just the tower. I ran into a problem in choosing a motherboard for him. I have been reading the forums and have seen many people recommend the Asus P6T Deluxe. I initially planned on using this motherboard but I then found the Gigabyte GA-EX58. Can someone explain the exact differences between these two pieces of hardware. Which one should I go with?

Thank you for the reply. From a performance stand point what do those statistics mean? Is one MOBO better at certain things when compared to the other? IU know the Gigabyte capps pout at like 16gb of mem and the Asus can hold 24Gb.

The ASUS board has better performance options in terms of max memory and PCI Express 2.0. But if you don't plan on 3-way Sli/CF or maxing out your dimms then save $100.00 bucks and go with the GIGABYTE. That's the best I can do in terms of features, I don't vouch for boards I never owned.
