K, I was on the Newegg site and found a nifty MB, but when I tried to place the order it was suddenly sold out, So, now i'm back to trying to find a mobo that will accomodate PC-4200 RAM, my socket 775 P4 single core processor (old, but i'm poor), and will fit in a micro atx case. I run Vista Home Basic, I've got a vid card picked out (PCI-e 2.0 x16), so I just need another board that will work with those. My biggest issue is that unless it says "Will work with PC-4200" I'm pretty much lost and confused about the RAM aspect.
I would just get one of the biostar g31 open box boards for $27.99 if newegg has any left, and ask for a free backplate from biostar. Just email them that you didn't get a backplate with your board. You don't have to tell them it's open box. Many boards will run pc4200. If you want an older chipset, checkout computer geeks. Also, today only, newegg is offering up to 15% off on alot of memory. Just type "memorysale15" under the promo code at checkout. You should be able to find pc5300 or pc6400 in 2x1gb kits for around $20. Look for free shipping deals.
