Ahh I see now you've got the CM 600W eXtreme Power PSU, with 18A on each rail totaling 36A, its just good enough. For 36A on both rails i'm supprised this is a 600W PSU. My FSP Power 400W PSU has 36A on the 12V rails

Great, Im upgrading from a dual core to the 9950 and from a 3870 to a 4850

im glad i dont have to buy a new PSU also..

Will 5 fans and a light make any difference ?

Well I think the upgrades would balance each other on the power requirements front...
The 4850 generally consumes less power than the 3870...
And the dont upgrade to a older gen Phenom quad...Better off buying atleast the new P II X3 720...It will be more efficient and you mobo can support those PIIs also...

The 4850 uses up to 110W, and the 3870 uses up to 92W; at idle, it's more like 48W vs. 26W. The previous poster was probably thinking of the 3870X2, which uses 203W and 56W load and idle.
Coolermaster PSUs are mediocre, but that one should be enough, at least for a while. I wouldn't buy one, but I wouldn't run howling at the sight either. Unlike the real bad ones, it probably won't destroy your PC. When its fan dies, or it has other problems, get an Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, or PC Power & Cooling to replace it.

I dint notice that properly...My bad... :pfff:
And like he said the 600W still would be able to handle your config...
