How to connect AV DV capture card With Laptop ?

How can I connect AV DV Card with Laptop ? Also suggest a laptop(at list configuration ) & AV DV card for capturing Video from my Mini DV cassette handycam.

You should be able to connect a MiniDV camera if your laptop has builtin firewire capabilities. MiniDV connections are usually just mini-firewire connectors.

if your laptop doesn't have firewire builtin, then you can get one of these expansion cards to put in a cardbus slot
