Looking to buy and build a relatively quiet system for $1,000

Hello. I'm looking to build my own system for about $1000 (not including monitor). The most important thing is that it's relatively quiet; the PC I currently have has a loud graphics card that gives me a headache and generally annoys me and keeps me from using the computer as much as I'd like so I'd like to get a system that is fairly quiet that will still allow me to run current PC games well at the higher graphics settings. Anyone have any ideas? Any and all info is appreciated. Thank you for reading.

good info, other options (even with your current system) is to add an aftermarket VGA cooler to your graphic card. Here's a somewhat dated review of the HD4850 and the addition of an Arctic Cooling Accelero card by Hardwarecanucks.
