1-TA 790 GX A2+ MB
1- Saphire 3870 HD video card
4 gig corsair memory 800 megh
windows XP Pro
1- AMI bios that I am going to half to have help with my last bios was award and it was a snap but there is know dought I am in a bind with this one. So if any one out there has about an hour I would realy app it.

I am sorry, Maby just a little disgusted with my lack of knoladge of an AMI bios.
The motherboard is a Biostar and it seems the only way I can get it to boot is set at the basic safe levels. I have had to clear the cmos twice and every time I change something it won't boot.

Ok to continue on,this thing has one heck of an overdrive system in it, but thats not what I am trying to set up.Maby if I send a copy of the manual it will help I don't know. There is just a lot of things that are not in the manual .

I think what he is trying to say is He has no clue how to interpret the AMI BIOS as all his previous boards have had Award. with that said the lock ups etc mean somethings being set wrong. load with defauts after doing a clear CMOS. THEN 1 at a time adjust settings you are needing and reboot after each till you find the one thats causing the lockups.

+1 hacker91 - make sure everything works with a standard BIOS first, then tweak little by little so you can figure out where the problem is.
