wHAT IS OVERCLOCK AND WHAT DOES IT DO?

Overclocking is adjusting the computer's hardware settings to increase the CPU (and maybe RAM and video card) frequencies, aka speed, higher than the stock/default settings. Overclocking can result in better perfromance, decreasing the time it takes to perform operations/cycles during tasks, e.g., gaming (can increase frame-rates) and video-editing (may reduce the time it takes to code/re-code video files).
