Hi,
I've two HDD's 160GB(MASTER) and 40GB(SLAVE).
All was well until a few days ago.
I connect both my HDD's with single PATA cables to the motherboard. The problem that arose was, when i turned on my computer after a power cut, it suddenly displayed the message "NTLDR FILE MISSING'-'PRESS CTRL+SHIFT+DEL'..

Then i removed the power to my slave drive leaving the MASTER as it is. NOW the computer boots up normally, only when i power both HDD's, this NTLDR error message shows up. The SALVE HDD does NOT have any OS installed on it. It just has an extractable RAR WINXP file along with the other data, music, movies files.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

Seems that the slave is set as first boot device in BIOS and the system;s Master Boot Record can't find NTLDR - the NT system loader - because that disk doesn't have a Windows system. Go into your BIOS system and seek out Boot Order or Boot Sequence and make sure that the master hard disk is the one which is set to boot first or second only to a CD ROM.
