my friends mobo cpu and hdd got damaged due to bad smps so i was woundering how to avoid this from happening
my system is 3and 1/2 years old as precaution measure i changed my smps to brand new one and also have a power safe UPS
are there any measures to avoid damage to system due to failure of smps

The best way is to use a quality PSU. A UPS protects the PSU, but it doesn't protect the system from a poor quality PSU.
