I'm running a GeCube Radeon 9200se card on a XP system. I bought a new 1680x1050 display and the video drops out for a few seconds every now and then. I just want to figure out if this is a problem with the monitor, cable, graphics card or MB. Any suggestions would be REALLY appreciated. Thanks!
when you say drops out, does the screen like go black for a few seconds, the cards fan starts running fast, then it pops back up almost as though it was resetting? this happens to me if the card fails (if im on the desktop a ballon says "ati display driver 4800 family has stopped responding and has been succesfully recovered") from overclocking, power failure, or overheating.if it only happens in games then its probably something with your graphics card
