Hey everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read this thread.
I am panicking because today I ordered parts for my first ever home computer build and I made a mistake when making parts. I ordered this RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145224
and this motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131365
The problem is that the RAM is designed to run at a speed of 1600 whilst the motherboard only supports 1333.
How big a problem is this? will the RAM damage the motherboard? will it refuse to start up? Or will it simply lower the memory clock speed? Do I need to cancel the order immediately? Will I have to mess with the BIOS?
Help!
