650i upgrade

Im currently running a q6600 @ 3.2 on an msi board with a 650i and 2 gigs of mushkin ddr2 800. I was looking at an evga mobo 790i ultra, Will I notice any improvement? If so, any suggestions on ddr3? I have 2 260's in sli and need to stay with an nvidia chipset...thanks, any suggestions appreciated.

Since you've got a gaming rig, for the price of a new 790i mobo I would instead get an e8400 and run it at 3.6 Ghz or 4 Ghz, then you'll really see what framerates those twin GTX 260's can muscle.

IMO, just changing motherboards to the 790i and DDR3 will give you zero performance gain.
