optical drive will work in my pc

My sony optical drive stopped working, and I tried the newer optiarc drive from another PC. That doesn't work either. Both these are ok in my other PC.

No other problems, and power is on and disc spins.

They did not come with a driver, and in Device manager, it states 'device working properly'.

Can anybody give me some advice, please?

In device manager remove the drive and reboot your computer and let windows re-install it. If that don't work check all the cables and make sure they are tight.
