im going to buy an amd 1055t and i want to overclock it to about 3.0Ghz(i know its not much but im a rookie)
Will my antec tp new 550w work with the cpu or do i need to get an 650w psu.
This will be in my future pc:
AMD AM3 Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz BOX
ASUS ATI 5850 Direct CU 1GB DDR5 voltage tweak ed.
Kingston DDR3 4GB 1333MHz (2x2GB) CL9
antec truepower new 550w

I hope it works, if i can overclock it more be free to say it. I just want to use this psu.
I dont know much about overclocking.

I still doubt between the corsair tx 650w or the antec 550w, somme people have problems with the cable length. I'm going to buy an antec p183 case. Are the cables of the corsair long enough?

It will work, but it will load your psu up which will decrease its lifespan.
More powerful psu's will provide smaller voltage drops under load, meaning you can do what i did. Over clock your cpu and under volt it. Even moving from a 650w to an 850w psu on my system i was able to drop the voltage another notch and still remain stable under load.
