Hello, I don't find my dvd drive

  1. Did you make sure that the drive is connected at both ends and fully powered up?
  2. have you looked behind the fridge?
  3. If it's Windows 7 that is normal.

    The drive doesn't show until a disc is inserted.

    If that's not the problem then you need to check your connections from the drive to the motherboard. Also, if it's the older ribbon cable you could have issues with Master/Slave/Cable Select issues if not jumpered correctly.

    You must have some magical drives. That's not normal on any windows 7 PC that I've seen.

    Does the drive show in the BIOS? If yes, try running this Fixit scan.
