6 Gb/s for scalable performance when used with SSDs
An NCQ (Native Command Queuing) Management feature that helps optimize performance by enabling host processing and management of outstanding NCQ commands
Improved power management capabilities.

A lot of this provides performance boost in watching videos.

But, it gives the max theoretical speed a boost to 6gb/s.
Which in itself is great, especially for SSDs, since there are no moving parts, it really depends on the speed of the media. In which case Sata 3 is faster than Sata 2.

The links do not work, just takes you to a "front" page at newegg - not the product.

Could you be refering to the Sata III vs the vortex -2. If so I dought you will see any real world diff. Take alook at the PCVantage (which is suppose to be close to real work).

Go for size vs price. There is outside chance that a newer Firmware could improve the C300. Its like HDDs, going from sata 1 to sata II, was not a biggy (New HDDs improved and finnally benifited) NO Mechancial HDDs will benifit from SATA III. It will take a NEW crop of SSDs to benifit from SATA III. (SSDs in Raid 0 will benifit).
