Hi, Just turned on my new XP Pro machine. Tried setting the command prompt
to full screen, Awful! The font remind me of my old mainframe days.
Question, Is there any way to get the full screen mode to look like the
MS-DOS/Windows 95/98 full screen command line? Any advice is
appreciated...Dennis

Click right mouse on ms-dos line and then properties. Don't forget ms-dos
doesn't exist any more in XP. Just a simulator.

The fonts and layout tabs seem to apply only to windowed, not full screen
mode. I guess we have no control over full screen mode...Dennis

I see what you are saying. I haven't used the full screen in many years and
should have tried it before I responded. Sorry about that.

I just tried some of the ancient dos shells to modify the screen but they
don't have an affect also.

About the only thing I could do to change it much was to use the Lucida and
then increase the size to 20 or 24. It fits the full screen with fairly
clear characters and it actually helped me because of poor vision (old age)
but I don't think that was what you are looking for.

The answer you are looking for is in the window properties, on the right
side it is set for 80x300. set them both to 80x25 and you will have the
normal dos full screen font you are use to.
