I recently made a new computer, and I'm curious if I would be able to use the hard drive of my previous computer as a secondary storage for my new hard drive. If it matters, my old computer was XP 32bit, and my new computer is using Windows 7 64bit.

Yes as long as you have somewhere to plug it in and a power cable for it. SATA or IDE you can mix and match it does not matter for a storage drive. I always use old drives as storage when I upgrade. I still have 2 x 160GB Seagates and 2 x 250GB WD Caviers I use as storage.
