Quicktime wont uninstall for new itunes install

Alright, so im on service pack 2 for windows xp and everytime i try to install itunes to my computer.

it says "the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable." "Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Quicktime.msi' in the box below."
use source
"C:\DOCUME~1\JeriHoe\LOCALS~1\Temp\_is7C\"

if i press ok it says this folder cannot be found.
if i press cancel another pop up comes up and says "the older version of quicktime cannot be removed. contact your technical support group" then i press ok to that..the new version of itunes and quicktime just says finished. it wont install

i dont know how to get it off so i can have itunes.. what do i do??

  1. uninstall quicktime, run registry cleaner, go to program files and delete quick time folder. reboot. try installing itunes then.

Another question, why are you running SP2 when SP3 has been out for years?
