guys,
I am really struck between these two motherboards Asus p6T deluxe v2 and Asus Rampage Extreme II. which one to choose please help me, I play games and i do not overclock and i want to know difference between these two motherboards.
My specs are:
Intel core i7 920 @2.66Ghz cooling with coolermaster v8
Zotac GTX 260 in sli (if i purchase Asus p6T deluxe v2)
Corsair xms3 ddr3 2x6gb
Corsair HX1000w power supply

Well then, given your description you'd just be wasting your money to buy either of those boards.

I bought a Rampage II Extreme.... I enjoy it A LOT! LOTS of OPTIONS, but never bought a p6T so I cant compare.

You can aslo have the 260 in SLI if you buy the RIIE, unless you are on a budget....

You can have them in SLI on most X58 motherboards including the P6T Deluxe and even the cheap P6T SE.

But none of those are suitable for 3-way SLI. For that, you'd be better off using the EVGA X58 3X SLI. The cheaper version, since the only differences are warranty length, trade-up program, and price.

Well if you look at OP's post, he specifically mentioned SLI if he got P6T, I was correcting that with his other choice.

Yes, the P6T would be a better choice than either of the boards he mentioned for 2-way SLI, that is, if he's interested in getting better value. The Deluxe and the R2E offer little more functionality and cost a lot more money.
