Need ur help plzzzzzzz. , about 3ds max in mac pro

Actually i am using Mac Pro(leopard) with 2x2.6 quad core, 6gb Ram & 512 mb of 120gt GFX Card .

As i have installed Max in Windows(in daul booting system) but i am not satisfied with my Max's Performance in it its rendring speed is quite slow, like it just save 2-3 mins of time(in 20mins of rendering) in compare to my other PC, i.e. 2.3ghz dual 2 core with 4gb of ram and 512 GFX .

Therefore plz plz plz suggest me some Solution.

As someone who's used Maya himself (former 3DS Max competitor), I know rendering mainly depends on the CPU, not the dedicated graphics, so it must have something to do with the processor on your Mac, or how 3DS Max utilizes it. Is there a setting which allows you to maximize your Mac Pro's eight cores for rendering?
