Lately my laptop (Toshiba Satellite M45) has been acting a little funny. I'm guessing it can be a few things that could be wrong with it.
My computer will freeze when doing simple task(s) that I used to be able to do, and sometimes also makes a beeping sound when frozen.
Then sometimes it will freeze and I'll be able to move the mouse but I'm not able to click on anything.
This morning I attempted to turn it on and it made a beeping sound, turned off, turn on by itself and made the beeping sound. This continued until I unplugged it and took the battery out.
I also smelt a burning smell, I think a bit ago. It seemed like it was coming from the fan.
My clock is losing time and it display the wrong date when turned back on. I'm assuming this is a CMOS battery problem. (If it is the CMOS Battery, where is it located? I was told it should be under the keyboard, under the space bar but it's not there...)
