How to install xp on i3 processor

Hello,
i have a laptop with i5 processor and i tried to install xp on it but after installing xp it became a headache coz the speed of my system was so slow.
is there any special version of xp that runs on i5 processor laptops? plz somebody help me

Hi i'm chandan from bangalore
pls check your ram if your ram more than 2gb u cannot install win xp sp2, vista & upper version u can install.
