Hi! I'm from Argentina, and I finally i1m going to buy a new PC, and I have two options:

OPTION 1
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Mother Asus P5Q-C
DDR2 2GB 800 mhz Kingston
HD 320GB SataII
DVD Sata LG black
Case Codegen 6097-CA Briza 500w
VGA PCIE 512MB GF XFX 9800GT
Monitor LCD 22'' LG W2241S

1301 U$D

OPTION 2
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
Mother Asus P5Q-E
DDR2 2GB 800 mhz Kingston
HD 320GB SataII
DVD Sata LG black
Case Codegen 6097-CA Briza 500w
VGA PCIE 512MB MSI 4830 O.C
Monitor Samsung LCD 20''
1249 U$D or 1279 with MSI 4850

I would go for the 2º option if I had the 4850. However, the 4850 needs 500W at least to work properly, and my case has 500W, but people reccomended me 600W to be sure.
Another point, people here in Tom's Hardware say that 4830 is better than 9800 GT, but in Argentina, most people reccomend 9800 GT to play videogames.

What do you think ?

I'd be inclined to go with the #2 option, although i'd hate to lose the 22" monitor, in the future if you need more performance you could always crossfire the HD4830, you cannot crossfire the 9800GT GPU. I'm not familiar at all with your listed power supply. I'd bump the RAM to 2X2GB. Good luck, neither is a real bad choice, both should perform very well.

As I notgoing to upgrade this PC for e veru long time (at least 2 years) y don't think Crossfire will help me, the thing is that Asus P5Q-E has a good cooling system, but the P5Q-C has DDR3.
The problem is the power supply. If 500W Codegen give reals 500W, the MSI 4830 should work properly. However, the 9800 GT is an excellent card, and requires less than the 4830.
