Anyone know or at least have some good conjecture as to when these cards are launching?

According to the roadmap of ATI, ATI RV870/ Radeon HD 5870 will be launch by Q2 2009 or by late June with GDDR5, DirectX 11 and OpenCL...

I doubt that we can see something new in 2Q2009, refresh maybe…. financial crisis, poor economic outcome for ATI and Nvidia in 4q2010, purchasing power regression etc. New GPU on dx11 would come in q4 2009 maybe even later, the boost performance must be worth of investments and Xmas season is always strong in sales. This is economic point of view but maybe I am wrong…any prophecy indeed.

Well, DX 11 GPU can be launch at any time in mid 2009 without warning. Microsoft had already gave DX 11 technical preview to video card developers like ATI and NVIDIA. This will allow ATI and NVIDIA to add DX 11 feature to their next generation video cards.

Please also note that Windows 7 beta and DirectX 11 beta were also already released. What is missing is the DX11 compatible GPU for the moment.....

lol a single GPU card that can beat a 4870x2, now that would be something :D

I think games have some catching up to do, Soon even crysis will be a walk in the park.
Bring on photorealism and ray tracing. (and low, low prices :D)
