About 2 weeks ago, I started having a problem with the BIOS taking a long time to finish - took around 5 mins. After that windows ran fine (but some games would run in slow motion). If I restarted my computer after a few minutes, the bios would run fine and so would the games. Now I am getting a "DISK BOOT ERROR" whenever I try to start my computer. If I put my windows disk in I get the same error, so there is basically nothing I can do to get past the BIOS. Any ideas?

Try a hardware 'clear CMOS', followed by a BIOS 'Load Optimized Defaults'; you may have gotten 'stuck' somhow at a ridiculously low clock...
