I just purchased a used I7 machine
In Cinema 4d only 4 threads are showing, but on checking the bios - HT is enabled.

Shouldn't I be seeing 8? and is there any OS control over HT.

Please help.

Also, I'm only showing 4 threads in task manager.

I have processors set to use ALL in the bios.

You should see 8, yes.

If you go to msconfig, go to the boot tab, and go to "advanced options", is the "number of processors" box checked? Also, are there 8 CPUs in Device Manager?

It was checked, as four. I unchecked it and got eight back in the task manager.
I also do see 8 in the device manager.

But the bios only shows 2

If you see 8 in the task manager, you should be fine now.
