And oh, I got this great offer for a PNY 8800GTS 512, RM300, that's like $75-80USD, though its second hand but it's still good. You guys think it's a good buy or not? Any advices? Or I can spend a little more on a 4830 which is not that superior but newer compared to this card. And oh I need opinions on my first question above.

Dont know about your local pricing and realistically PhysX is down to persomal preferance as far as im concerned. I view pretty much the same way as i view DX10, Yes it looks pretty but its not really a priority right now.
If you plan to play a lot of games that use PhysX then you have to consider it.
My personal opinion is to go with the 4830
Mactronix
Hmm... Do you think running the card at 1280x1024 is an overkill? The deal's done already, but I may later put it on bid(people here loves to trade and sell) and then get some profit and get a 4830 or a 9800GT. seems rational?
Seems like a plan to me, im not saying its a bad card and running it at 1280x1024
wont cause you any issues you should be able to use a fair bit of AA/AF.
Why do you want to trade up to faster cards if you are worried that the card you already have is too fast for 1280x1024 ?
Mactronix
no, i was planning to trade for a slower card and some profits. Or maybe just sell the card for some profits and get a cheaper 4830. 4830 handles games good at that resolution except crysis which I have to lower some settings and disable AA.
I play my games with an 8800GTS 512MB card with stock settings @ 1920x1080 and do fine. I don't crank AA up much granted. But I can play COD4, COD:WAW, Mirror's Edge without any problems. I can even play GTAIV at 1920x1080 and do pretty decent too.
Then again, I've never minded playing games @ or near 30FPS (GTAIV) to much.
Like Mactronix said, it's all about preference. I prefer to get everything my games have to offer, so I stick with Nvidia and it's Physx capabilities. You could buy the 4830 and then buy a Physx card if you have money to burn.
Physx tends to destroy framerates though.... maybe wait until physx has been developed more into future games before worrying about whether it's worth the investment. Just go for the strongest card you can afford for your budget
-Macronix- Wow, never knew it was so easy to achieve that good fps in Crysis. -68vistacruiser- I think I won't buy another PhysX card. I'll do what mrcrybaby suggests, wait teill physX is better developed, so for now I'll get something cheap to pass the year, after that lets see what happens.
Thanks guys for your advices.
