Hi,
I turn on the power, the light on the mobo is on, the fans turn on for less than 1 second then turn off.
What is the problem?

could be many things

sounds like memory needs more volts

but it could be failed harsware

disconeect all drives - problem solved? fine the bad drive

no?

add more voltage to ram, pull a stick or swap and run only 1 stick


this is a very common problem is ram burning up

psu failure is not it

from my experience, the powersupply probably blew something. see if you can get another one around or above your current powersupply wattage and test it on your machine. Try testing it with just the power to the motherboard / video cards hooked up.

If it still doesn't want to boot, reset bios and take out the battery for 5mins. then put it back in and start the computer.

if that doesn't work, then maybe the board / ram
