Copy data from protected file

I need to copy my data from my hard drive as I need to reformat it because I have a nv4_mini.sys error but the Documents and Settings folder is protected can I get aroud this protection.?

What is "protected"? User rights or encrypted? If you are trying to copy the whole Documents and Settings folder, need to be administrator to do that.

Have you tried to fix the nvidia error?
