Can you guys help to sort out the problem, that is:

Which chipset perform better, the 790X or 790GX?

Another thing is there are some issues that i had considered so far:

1. The performance between the two chipsets.

2. The value of two chips.

3. The power consumption of two chips.

What i'm comparing is to get the lowest price at high performance n low power consumption.

For 790X - a enthusiast chipset

For 790GX - a standard chipset for daily purposes with 128mb of sideport ram

Use below cases to compare,

GIGABYTE M790X-UD4 AMD 790GX+SB750/CrossFireX $151

GIGABYTE MA790GP-UD4H AMD 790GX+SB750/CrossFireX/HD 3300 $169

both mobo use 2 x HD4870 512mb 256bit in CFX mode

The better chipset is the 790GX. Look here for your own opinion: http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6955&Itemid=1 and I would go with the GIGABYTE MA790GP-UD4H because there is a lot more support for it online than the other. I alway go with whatever has more reviews and info available to gather. Here are 2 sites to compare them. They are pretty much the same board: http://informatica.dvd.it/componenti-pc/motherboard/mainboard-socket-am2/gigabyte-m790x-ud4-amd-790-am2/dettaglio/id-2100332/ and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128384 Hope this helps some.

I was under the impression that they were exactly the same except the GX has integrated video. So really it comes down to if you want to pay ~$20 for the integrated video.

... I think

Yes but the GIGABYTE MA790GP-UD4H has much more support on the internet than the other one. So $20 buys you a little more support even at their website.
