Shut down time?

All, I just got a new Dell Studio laptop (windows 7 64 bit) and the shut down sequence is taking a long time. Has anyone else expereinced this or have a fix?

How much crapware did the laptop come with? Installed applications are the number one cause of slow boot up and shut down. One of them may be hanging, causing the long shutdown time.

Exactly. Try uninstalling some of the bloatware that you feel is pointless and see if that improves both start up and shutdown times.
