when i try to play pro evolution soccer 2009 on my2 gig of ram hp elitebook, with ati radeon 3450, with low or medium setting, it starts smoothly and all of a sudden the game speed becomes painfully slow, i tried to fine tune ati catalyst setting but nothing improved, my laptop specs are better than the recommended settings for the game, help me please and thanks in advance.

I think it get heated up quickly and act as such.... get a laptop cooler..
