Hi,
My current system uses the GA-MA770-UD3 rev. 2.0 with a Phenom 2 X2 550BE C2 revision + Sapphire HD4850 512MB.
Would it be worth upgrading to the GA-870a-UD3 to get the SB850 southbridge with A-link express iii/SATA3/USB3 + an X2 555BE (more OCable) and DDR3 RAM.
I've been searching for reviews comparing the SB750/SB710 and SB850 southbridge's but not been able to find much.
Is the AHCI/USB2 performance with the SB850 significantly improved or wouldn't I see much difference.
I'm currently running the SATA ports in IDE mode with an ST380815AS 80GB HDD as my boot drive, a ST3300831AS 300GB for documents/backups and a Western Digital 640GB HDD for music/movies.
My keyboard/mouse are PS/2 and connected via a KVM so would need PS/2 ports on the motherboard.
Is it possible to use an adaptor with the GA-870A-UD3 to convert the combined PS/2 port into 2 separate ports.
