I have a dual core on my EVGA 780i Motherboard as of right now. My question is I'm wanting to get a new CPU and I was wondering is the new i7's compatible with my motherboard? Or is anyone out running the i7 on the 780i motherboard.

Thanks

No, you cannot run an i7 on the 780i, you will have to go out and get a new socket 1366 motherboard.

It's a different physical socket - the only boards that will run an i7 right now use the Intel X58 chipset.
