hi .. home built pc has motherboard with onboard graphics a nvidia 8200 ( not that good )..the board has a PCI express x 16 slot...the motherboard has a thing called hybrid SLI tech...which apparently means i can run a seperate card together with the onboard graphics. but only two cards support it nvidia 8500gt and the nvidia 9800gt..as buget is tight i am looking at the 8500gt...my question is would it make a difference to the graphic performance or would buying another card to run on its own

The 8500 is a terrible card for gaming;

It`s about halfway down on the left side.

The HD4650 is much faster and cheap:

If your budget can reach this is faster still:

Neither requires an extra power connector and both would kick the s**t out of the 8500!

I guess hybrid sli give about 10% more than discrete solution. 8500gt 'd still remain there. Get 4650 @ $50 at newegg.
