Hi folks,

Wasn't too sure whether to put this in the CPU or motherboard forums but I'm hoping you guys can help clear up something for me here.

Problem is this: being a bit of a newbie with components and compatibility I was wondering if my Motherboard, a Gigabyte GA-M68SM-S2 is capable of running a black edition Phenom II quad core 3.0GHZ. The Motherboard can run 940 pin AM2 processors but the Phenom is AM2+.

Can you folks please tell me is it possible to upgrade to a phenom on this rig or not.

Any questions please ask, especially if I haven't made myself clear enough! :D
