Computer Freeze up!

Hello, I have Windows XP and Recently Comp has been Freezing Randomly mainly on Websites, Watching video on youtube, while playing Online games at Pogo.com..Before it freezes Crackling sounds come from speakers and then soon after Total Freeze up and usually accompanied by Looping Beeping sounds thru speakers..Unable to move mouse or use keyboard..What could possibly be going on? Someone Please help! thank you..

there's several things that could be going on:
1. overheating issues
2. unstable electrical power or power spikes in your electrical line
3. failing hardware components
